Crochet

So I was inspired by my dear friend Sarah to learn how to crochet. I bought this yarn and a "learn to crochet kit" from Michael's when I was pregnant with Kieran. I so wanted to make him a baby blanket! Well, I just couldn't get the hang of it and gave up. I picked it back up last night and with the help of some You Tube video's I'm figuring it out. This is what I have so far. I know...it doesn't look great, but I'm a beginner! LOL! I am determined this time!

My good friend taught me to crochet. I have tried it multiple times, but for some reason with her it clicked. I need to get back on crocheting!

I really wish I had someone to teach me hands on. I think it would be much easier!

It looks great Melissa! It gets easier and easier as you go! I find it much easier to learn by watching rather than from a book which is why I did so much better with video tutorials :) Keep it up!

Hilarious!! I too had a dream to knit Gwen a blanket while she was in utero! HAHAA It's a little bigger than your pc there.. but no where near complete! I would love to knit or crochet a sweater - how adorable would that be!!?

Great job! I love crocheting. I want to learn to make some baby slippers.

I'm crocheting at the moment too and I completely suck at it! I set out to make a scarf for Paige for when "winter" sets in here (I know, haha!). Anyway, after about 20 rows, it ended up being a very tightly woven, ugly triangle. I wish I were crafty!

Great idea to take a look at videos instead of books! I'll have to try that to advance my knitting (which I've given up on for the time being)!

Great job, keep it up! I've tried it a few times in the past & flunked. Everytime I see those gorgeous, comfy bundles of yarn, I want to try again.
