I finally scrapped! Yay! The scanner cut some of the top off...still need to figure out our new scanner.

Bye Bye T.V

Well, sort of. We cancelled our cable today and don't plan on buying an antenna. We just decided that it's whats best for our family. We are tired of the media filling ours and our children's heads with garbage. I also think it will help Nevin to use his imagination more, read more and play outside more. All great things! :)
I broke the news to Nevin earlier and he took to it as expected...he totally freaked. He'll be fine though. We've gone without cable in the past and he adjusted well. We aren't throwing the TVs out or anything and he still has video games. We'll also build up a good collection of DVD's as well as rent some. It was hard for me too! I called Josh and said "if we are going to do this, then do it now, before I change my mind" Haha!!

Mother Son Time

It's occurred to me lately that Nevin and I really need some time to just have some fun and enjoy each other. Kieran requires so much of my time and attention and now that the warm weather is here and school is out, he's hardly around. Kid's are knocking at the door in the morning asking him to come out and play and I only see him for a few minutes here and there when he "checks in" or asks to go somewhere. I have to MAKE him come in to eat, just for him to run back out or have his friends come in. I think Josh gets a good amount of time with him while I'm putting Kieran to sleep and all that jazz. Well, I've decided to have a Mother, Son game night! We love playing board games together and always have fun! We use to do so much together before Kieran was born as he was an only child for nearly 9 years. Things changed so much between us after that, it seems. So we just need more time to connect. Just the two us and have some laughs.

Random

So Josh and I were discussing shaving a couple days ago. I mentioned how razor burn sucks! LOL! He always tells me to stop shaving...he doesn't care if I have hairy legs. :) Well then he said..."Hey, remember those children's bible stories books? How come the woman never had body hair?" Surely Adam and Eve didn't have razors...right? Haha! So Eve should have hairy under arms and legs. Just makes me think about how weird it is that woman shave. I mean, obviously we are meant to have hair...but we remove it, over and over again. It's just plain silly! People are so odd.

Boo Boo Knee

Kieran had his 1st wipe out yesterday. He fell down and scraped his knees on the cement. He was outside with Daddy and came in to tell me he had "Bee bee knee". So we kissed his boo boo knees all better and after crying a bit he was pretty proud of his boo boos! Talked about them all day! Such a sweetie. :)
