Raw
I'm once again feeling inspired to go raw. Maybe not 100% raw, but close enough. I tried this about...2 years ago? I failed miserably! So I'm doing more research and looking into going raw while breastfeeding especially. for any raw foodies out there...is it super time consuming to make meals? I'm really worried about that since we lack time for that sort of thing here. Well, baby steps...starting tomorrow. Going for a green smoothie in the morning and fruits and nuts during the day. Also, time to start weaning off the coffee...not looking forward to that. I have a SERIOUS iced latte addiction. Sometimes(well honestly, almost everyday) my day revolves around getting that latte! I'm going to try. Here I go...again. :)

Good luck!! Going raw sounds like serious torture to me!! HHAHAA
Thanks, Shannon! Hehe!
I eat a pretty high raw diet usually - and I'm breastfeeding. It can be easy if you stick to blended meals and fresh fruits, nuts, etc. I can't imagine making a raw lasagna right now, you know? But, if I keep my kitchen stocked with things like coconut, avocado, hemp foods, protein powders, frozen fruits (for smoothies), fresh fruits, etc... then it's pretty easy. Still... I like some things like organic oatmeal, quinoa, lentils, so I still make those. :)
cheers and good luck!
Hey, I just saw this... I'm so excited for you. My advice is to keep it fun and exciting. But not overwhelming.
Smoothie, nuts and fruit and veggies sounds like a great start and how I started too.
Slowly, I would blend up more and more treats for desserts. I have my one new try a week, that keeps it fresh. And eventually added some raw dinners.
I'm still not 100% Raw and not sure I ever will be. But I've made it something I can live with that makes me feel good, so I can't possibly fail.
Not to mention you live in an awesome town with Sooo many food choices. And the Red Pepper Deli looked to offer classes and groups and even food co-ops last time I was there.
Have fun with it, and let me know how it goes. Maybe we can support each other. :-)
This is where the "next blog" button brought me.
Raw carrots are ok, but some foods should not be touched prior to subjecting them to extreme temperatures.
Good luck in any case.
I really enjoy the blog post…
